Este é um tema que amo de paixão, pois nasci numa aldeia e época em que a minha infância os doces estavam sempre presentes em festejos do ano, lanches das escolas, festas de amigos e ainda eram a recompensa quando fazia “algo bem feito”. A verdade é que mais tarde tem as suas consequências. Hoje, temos mais conhecimentos, estamos a tempo de mudar e contribuir para que as futuras gerações sejam mais saudáveis.⠀
Nós pais somos um exemplo na alimentação para os nossos filhos. Quando recebo mães e pais na consulta que descrevem comer doces, alimentos processados e não comem vegetais que têm dificuldade na introdução dos alimentos saudáveis nos seus filhos…eu reforço a necessidade de mudar hábitos e estilo de vida da família, eles serão o exemplo futuro dos pais.⠀
Assim como, os pais que dizem não conseguir deixar de ter as bolachas açucaradas em casa (que acabam por comer eles mesmos) que são para as crianças pontualmente. Pergunto: porquê as crianças têm que ter momentos felizes e combinar com doces e alimentos processados e cheios de açúcares ou outros aditivos que provocam alterações fisiológicas e cognitivas? Porque festejar prejudicando a saúde desta nova geração?⠀
Devem deixar de comer doces? Claro que não! Temos sempre momentos de festejar e comer uma sobremesa e hoje sabemos que podemos fazê-lo com alimentos de verdade e ter o mesmo sabor…melhor pois dá-mos nutrientes ao nosso corpo.⠀
Julgar o porquê os pais fazem isto não é simples, pois, na presença de compulsão esta deve ser vista e ser tratada. Contudo, a falta de planeamento, a preguiça, o estabelecimento das prioridades erradas, a desculpa da falta de tempo, o descuido consigo mesmos… tudo isto pode ser transformado. A alimentação tem que ser uma das prioridades na vossa casa. Posso partilhar que é na comida (além dos livros e formação) que é onde invisto mais. Sê o exemplo para quem amas!
