Poluentes e toxinas presentes no meio ambiente , como metais pesados, pesticidas e outros produtos químicos desreguladores endócrinos, têm sido associados a desequilíbrios do sistema imunológico.

A exposição crónica a poluentes e tóxicos pode levar a uma sobrecarga corporal, aumento da inflamação sistémica e manifestações clínicas de disfunção imunológica.

No mundo moderno estamos expostos diariamente a um número de toxinas prsentes no meio ambiente: inaladas pelo ar que respiramos, absorvidas através da pele, produtos de cuidados pessoais e ingeridas pelos alimentos que foram cultivados com pesticidas.

As pessoas com doenças autoimunes da tiroide, como tiroidite de hashimoto, têm pouca capacidade de eliminar estas toxinas. Por diversas razões: por predisposição genética a uma ineficiência na desintoxicação hepática, deficiências de nutrientes, sistema sobrecarregado com exposição excessiva de toxinas. Em todos estes casos as vias de desintoxicação podem estar comprometidas.

O fígado é o nosso principal órgão de desintoxicação e pode estar comprometido por congestionamento destas toxinas todas às quais estamos expostos diariamente.

A intoxicação hepática é uma das causas que impede o bom funcionamento da tiroide, impedindo a conversão de T4 livre em T3livre (ativo).

Tratar o fígado é uma das etapas importantes para restabelecer o bom funcionamento saudável da tiroide e eliminação de sintomas no caso de tiroidite de hashimoto.

A disfunção hepática pode manifestar-se por vários sintomas digestivos, sensibilidades extremas, mesmo a suplementos e medicamentos, fadiga, acne, entre outros.

Para percebermos o nível do Toxicidade é importante fazermos esta avaliação, antes e depois de uma dieta de eliminação ou protocolo de duas semanas para tratar e fortalecer o fígado.

1. Remover alimentos que possam ser potenciais gatilhos
2. Adicionar alimentos que apoiem a desintoxicação
3. Reduzir a exposição a toxinas
4. Melhorar as vias de desintoxicação
